General instructions
The PPW will be held on February 8th 2023 in Povo2, room B107.
The participation is restricted to the Department of Physics and the event will be to be attended in person.
However, the online option (via Zoom connection) will be available only for exceptional circumstances that must be approved by the Coordinator of the Doctoral Program, Prof. Chiara La Tessa.
We will host talk sessions with presentations by the PhD students of the Physics department at the University of Trento. The event will also include a Lectio Magistralis.
Afterwards, the event will be concluded with a Poster session of the 1st/3rd-year PhDs, along with a great aperitivo.
Instructions for the speakers
First-year students (38th cycle) will be free to present their master thesis work/other ongoing projects with a poster during a poster session.
Second-year students (37th cycle) will be required to present their work with a 15 minutes-long slot (12 mins. talk + 3 mins. of questions).
Second-year students (37th cycle) enrolled in the Q@TN transdisciplinary program are exempted from the talk but they are welcomed to present their work with a poster during the late afternoon poster session.
Third-year students (36th cycle) will be required to present their work with a poster during the poster session.
Posters
The poster session will take place at Povo2 as well. The poster stands will be positioned either inside (the coffee room) or outside (the Povo2 yard) depending on the wether forecast.
To accomodate all the posters, the optimal size should be A0 (vertical) or A1.
Aperitif
We are also organizing an aperitif during the Poster Session.
Since it is self-organized, a contribution of 5€ is required for those who want to participate.
